Account Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to manage and grow key client relationships within the banking sector. You will act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, driving revenue growth, ensuring client satisfaction, and identifying opportunities to expand our banking solution offerings. This role combines strategic account planning, consultative selling, and cross-functional collaboration with technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers at banks, credit unions, and fintech companies.
  • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets by upselling/cross-selling banking solutions.
  • Develop and execute tailored account plans, including roadmap alignment, and renewal strategies.
  • Collaborate with product management and solution architects to demonstrate how our IT consulting services address client pain points in digital banking, open banking, and compliance
  • Proactively identify and resolve client challenges, coordinating with delivery, support, and product teams to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Stay updated on banking industry trends and competitor offerings to provide strategic insights.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecast revenue, and report on account health metrics.
  • Lead renewals, expansions, and new contract negotiations in partnership with legal and finance teams.

Education & Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in account management or sales within IT consulting, software solutions, or the banking/financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of managing enterprise accounts with annual contract values (ACV) exceeding target.
  • Deep understanding of banking domain knowledge, including core systems, digital channels, payments and regulatory frameworks.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to present complex technical solutions in business terms to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, closing, and objection-handling abilities; experience with value-based selling methodologies.
  • Familiarity with IT architectures and banking software ecosystems.
  • Proficient in data-driven decision-making using CRM tools, Excel, and BI dashboards.
  • Customer-centric mindset and resilience under pressure
